All the staff at Kindergarten are fully qualified in early years care and education and have a committment to professional development training.  We provide at least one member of staff for every four children aged 2 and one member of staff for every eight children aged 3 and 4.  All our staff are first aiders.

Wendy Embisu is the Director of Kindergarten.  Her qualifications include an AdvDipEd, BTec National Certificate in Caring Services (Nursery Nursing) and CACDP (Sign Language).  Wendy has two children and has worked in early years settings for over twenty years - setting up pre-school facilities in rural Cumbria before moving to Lancashire and establishing a kindergarten in St Annes Parish Rooms on Headroomgate Road.  This Kindergarten was relocated to Clifton Primary School in Summer 2000.

Mandy Stephens is the Deputy at Kindergarten and an Early Years Teacher.  Mandy has a B.Ed(HONS) from Leicester University specialising in Early Years, Music, Language Arts and Multi-Cultural Education.  Mandy has three daughters and has taught across the primary age phase encompassing both Key Stage One and Two and Foundation Stage for over 15 years.  More recently Mandy has relished returning to her Early Years specialism while working at Kindergarten and has recently achieved the Early Years Professional Status.
